Healthy Asian Beef Bowl

If you are a fan of a full meal served in a bowl, this Healthy Asian Beef Bowl is a great suggestion. It’s ground beef cooked with soy sauce, brown sugar, diced ginger, chopped garlic, chopped onion and olive oil, then served over white rice.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb 96% lean ground beef

  • ¼ cup soy sauce

  • ¼ cup brown sugar

  • ½ tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp finely diced ginger

  • 1 cup onion, roughly chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, roughly chopped

  • for serving: toasted sesame seeds, green onion, and rice

Directions

  • Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add onion and cook until translucent. Add ginger and garlic; continue to cook for a minute or so.
  • Add ground beef and break up into small pieces. Cook until no longer pink, and drain extra liquid.
  • Stir in soy sauce and brown sugar. Mix well and let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Serve over rice with toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onion.
  • Enjoy!
