Ingredients

  • 1 box white cake mix, plus ingredients called for on box

  • 1 1/2 c. white chocolate chips, melted

  • 1 strawberry fruit roll-up

  • 3 mini powdered sugar donuts

  • 2 c. marshmallow Fluff

  • Blue food coloring

  • Black food coloring

  • 1 tbsp. water

  • 3 c. whipped topping (such as Cool Whip)

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350º and spray a 9″-x-13” pan. Prepare cake mix according to package directions.
  • Add a few drops of blue food coloring to cake mix, and bake until an inserted toothpick inserted comes out clean, about 25 minutes. Let cool.
  • To make shark fins: Mix melted white chocolate and a few drops of black food coloring, until correct color is achieved. Transfer to piping bag.
  • Pipe fin shapes onto a small parchment-lined baking sheet and place in freezer.
  • To make life preservers: Cut 3-inch-long pieces of fruit roll up and cut those pieces into quarters.
  • Wrap four around each powdered sugar donut and fasten with some marshmallow fluff, if needed.
  • Poke holes all over the cake; using end of a metal spoon.
  • Combine marshmallow fluff and water in a medium, microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 10 seconds on high and mix until fully combined. Pour all over the cake, making sure to fill the poked holes.
  • Add 5 drops blue food coloring into whipped topping on a large bowl, folding a few times but not incorporating completely.
  • Frost cake with whipped topping and top with shark fins and life preservers. Serve.
