- For Sauce
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. sriracha
1 tbsp. toasted sesame oil
1/2 tbsp. brown sugar
- For Stir-Fry
1/2 lb. lean ground beef
1/2 head green cabbage
2 carrots
3 green onions
1/2 tbsp. neutral cooking oil
2 cloves garlic
1 tbsp. fresh grated ginger
Pinch of salt and pepper
- For Garnish (Optional)
1 tbsp. sesame seeds
1 tbsp. sriracha
Directions
- Add soy sauce, toasted sesame oil, sriracha, and brown sugar to a small bowl. Stir well to combine and set aside.
- Cut one small cabbage in half, remove core, and then finely shred one half (4-6 shredded cup; save the other half another recipe).
- Peel two carrots, then shred with a cheese grater (1 cup shredded). Slice three green onions. Mince two cloves of garlic. Peel a knob of ginger then grate it.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef, garlic, ginger, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir-fry until beef until browned, about 5 minutes; crumbling as you cook.
- Add cabbage and carrots to skillet. Cook and stir until cabbage is slightly wilted (or fully wilted, if you prefer).
- Stir in prepared sauce and green onions. Top with a sprinkle of sesame seeds and a drizzle of sriracha.
- Serve immediately!
