- For Sauce
3 cloves garlic, minced
6 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons barbecue sauce
1 teaspoon fish sauce
1 teaspoon white wine vinegar
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1/2 cup water
- For Chicken
1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into chunks
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
3 eggs
Oil for, frying
Directions
- Combine all ingredients for sauce in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer until starting to thicken. Set aside.
- Pat chicken dry with paper towels.
- Pour flour into a shallow dish. Whisk eggs in second dish and put breadcrumbs into third dish.
- Coat chicken coat first in flour, then in egg and finally in breadcrumbs. Transfer to a wire rack.
- Heat oil in a nonstick frying pan over medium high heat. Carefully place chicken, in batches, and fry for 6-8 minutes, until golden and crispy on the outside and cooked through on the inside.
- Add fried chicken into sauce pan. Toss until everything is coated and sauce has thickened to a syrupy consistency.
- Serve immediately over a bed of rice or noodles. Enjoy!
